Accommodation
As a courtesy, the Government of Madagascar will provide full-board accommodation for Heads of Delegation at the following hotels: Novotel Convention & Spa Antananarivo, Hôtel Carlton Madagascar, Hôtel Colbert Spa & Casino, and Radisson Blu Hotel Antananarivo Waterfront.
The courtesy extended for accommodation does not include personal expenses, which remain the full responsibility of the delegates.
These may include, but are not limited to: laundry services, alcoholic beverages, paid telephone services (including international calls), bar and minibar usage, room service, pay-per-view television and Internet access Delegations are kindly requested to settle any such charges directly with the respective hotel establishments.
All other members of the delegation are responsible for arranging and covering the costs of their own accommodation. It is important to note that August is a peak tourist season in Madagascar, resulting in high hotel occupancy rates.
To mitigate this, the Government of Madagascar has engaged with hotel operators to secure priority booking for SADC delegations. However, it is strongly recommended that reservations be made as early as possible, clearly indicating that the booking is for a SADC delegation to benefit from the prioritisation measures in place.
