Antananarivo, August 11, 2025 – On the eve of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) Council of Ministers, scheduled for Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the Malagasy capital is gradually welcoming the arrival of the foreign ministers and ministers responsible for external relations of the member states.
A briefing session will be held for them to present the main items on the agenda and the organizational arrangements for the meeting. At the same time, the preparation of official documents for the Council continues, in close coordination with the SADC Secretariat and all delegations.
The collection and finalization of contributions from member states is a key step in ensuring the smooth running of the ministerial deliberations. These deliberations will precede the 45th Summit of Heads of State and Government, to be held on August 17, 2025, in Antananarivo.
As host country, Madagascar reaffirms its commitment to ensuring an exemplary organization, respecting SADC standards and values, and aiming to produce concrete results in the service of development and regional integration.
