Media Accreditation

Media personnel or communication professionals not accompanying official delegations and wishing to cover the event must be accredited in advance and registered with the Ministry of Communication  and Culture of the Republic of Madagascar: (presse-sadc@diplomatie.gov.mg).

Media personnel accompanying official Member State delegations must be included in the official delegation list via Note Verbale, submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar.

Requests for authorisation and accreditation from both official and unofficial international media  practitioners must be submitted no later than 14 July 2025.

Access to Summit sessions and meetings by media personnel will be strictly regulated. Certain  sessions will be closed, and media coverage, photography, and video recording will not be permitted.

All Summit-related activities must comply with the arrangements established by the Organising  Committee, as well as with the applicable regulations of both the SADC and the host country.

Multimedia and communication equipment

All media equipment imported into the Republic of Madagascar for the coverage of the 45th SADC Summit must be declared in advance prior to entry into Malagasy territory.

Interview Requests

Press attachés of each delegation may submit interview requests through the SADC National Contact Point in their respective Member States.

Media and press centre

A Media and Press Centre will be set up at the Ivato International Conference Centre (ICC Ivato).  Media professionals will have access to a dedicated workspace with Internet connectivity.

Official Photographers and Camerapersons

Official photographers and camerapersons must be accredited as media practitioners, and not as  delegates.
