Antananarivo, August 15, 2025 – As part of the 45th Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), the Malagasy capital hosted today the work of the Organ Troika Senior Officials and the Organ Troika Ministerial Committee on Politics, Defense, and Security.
The Organ Troika Senior Officials Meeting, held in the morning, was chaired by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Samwel William Shelukindo, Chairperson of the Organ Troika Senior Officials Committee. Participants focused on preparing documents and adopting the agenda of the Organ Troika Ministerial Committee (OCC).
In the afternoon, the CMO of the Organ Troika, chaired by H.E. Mahmoud Thabit Kombo, Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania, held its official session in the presence of the SADC Executive Secretary, H.E. Mr. Elias M. Magosi. The deliberations culminated in the adoption of the minutes and the preparation of the agenda for the Organ Summit Troika meeting.
These meetings constitute a strategic step in consolidating regional cooperation in the areas of peace, stability, and security, and prepare the ground for the decisions to be taken by the Heads of State and Government at the Summit.
