The capital of Madagascar is hosting the 8th edition of SADC Industrialization Week (SIW) at the Novotel Antananarivo, jointly organized by the SADC General Secretariat, the Malagasy Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Industrialization and Trade, the Syndicat des Industries de Madagascar (SIM), and the SADC Business Council.

SIW 2025: A MAIN EVENT

The figures confirm the importance of SIW 2025 as the largest public-private platform dedicated to the region’s economic transformation.

• 12 plenary sessions and 7 side events

INDUSTRY, AGRICULTURE, AND ENERGY TRANSITION: THE PILLARS

The theme of the 8th edition of SIW 2025 is “Promoting Industrialization, Agricultural System Transformation, and Energy Transition for a Resilient SADC.” It addresses the current challenges facing the continent and, more specifically, the subregion. These three pillars are essential for SADC. Choosing this theme reflects SADC’s vision of building a common and prosperous future for the peoples of the region.

A HISTORIC EVENT

The SIW is supported by some fifty partners, contributors, and donors. Official partners include the PAISF and PA ZLECAF projects, AFG Banque as Official Bank, and ARO Insurance as Official Insurer. In addition, YAS, BRED, BECOM, INJET, Ravinala Airports, Aeropub, and G4S have also joined the ranks of Platinum Partners to ensure a high-quality organization for this edition. One hundred and five (105) speakers will take part in the 12 plenary sessions, including 41 local experts.
